2010 International Sheepdog Trials

16th -18th September (Thurs-Sat)

England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales each have fifteen dogs in their teams. All earned their place in that country's National trial.

Thursday, September 16th

Qualifying Trials (Day 1)

The trials begin with a competitor from the Host country, followed by competitors from the other three countries. Approximately half of the sixty competitors run their dogs today. At Lunch time (approximately 12 o clock), there is a break and the first part of the International Brace trial takes place].

Friday, September 17th

Qualifying Trials (Day 2)

The other half of the dogs run today, ending with the four team captains who have each won their National trials this year. At Lunch time (approximately 12 o clock), there is a break for the second part of the International Brace trial.

Saturday, September 18th

Day 3 - The Supreme Championship

The top fifteen competitors from the Qualifying Trial compete today in the double gather final with the highest honour at stake. At Lunch time (approximately 12 o clock), the International Young Handlers trial takes place. One representative from each Nation competes for the title. The ISDS are staunch supporters of Young Handlers, many of whom equal their elders in ability.
